General Assistance Program Information Town of Fort FairfieldGeneral Assistance is a program administered through municipalities which purchases basic necessities for individuals who are without means to pay for such services.

If you are a resident of Fort Fairfield and need to apply for General Assistance, Please call the Town Office at 207-472-3800 between the hours of 7:30 am and 4:30pm Monday-Friday to make an appointment. You must have an appointment already scheduled to be seen for General Assistance.

Walk-in appointments are not accepted unless it is an emergency.

If the Town Office is closed and you are in need of Emergency Assistance, please call the Fort Fairfield Police Department at 472-3808.
