The Town of Fort Fairfield, Maine, is currently soliciting resumes for the position of Town Manager.  Fort Fairfield is a community of 3500, with a Council/Manager form of government, an annual budget of $3.0 million excluding schools, and 20 full-time employees.  The Town Council is seeking an individual with personnel management and labor relations experience, strong successful economic development experience, strong financial management and budgeting skills, and good communications skills.  The successful Manager candidate should be a creative problem solver with the ability to work as a team member, and demonstrate flexibility and openness in the performance of their job.

Candidates should possess at least 5 years of progressively responsible management experience.  The Town Council would prefer a candidate with municipal management experience and a degree in Public or Business Administration, however, individuals with equivalent experience and education are encouraged to apply.

DEPUTY TOWN CLERK

TOWN OF FORT FAIRFIELD


The Town of Fort Fairfield, Maine is accepting applications for Deputy Town Clerk.

The Deputy assists the Town Clerk in the issuance of licenses and permits, recording documents and vital statistics, and maintenance of records. The individual in this position also serves as General Assistance Administrator and Registrar of Voters.
Applicants must be high school graduates, and should have experience in general office work, working with the public, proficiency in typing/word processing and the use of computers. The successful candidate must be able to work independently as well as with others, be self-motivated, have great communication and organizational skills, and a keen attention to detail.

This is a full-time position which offers a great benefits package that includes: Health Insurance, Retirement Plan, Paid Holidays and Vacation. Salary commensurate with experience

MUNICIPAL SWIMMING POOL
The pool is open mid-June through late-August annually.  Use of the pool is free to all residents!
GENERAL SWIM HOURS
Every Day (weather permitting)
1:00-4:00pm
6:00-8:00pm


SWIM TEAM – The swim team is open to all for boys and girls up to 18 years of age as of May 1. Practices will begin in June and are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 4:00-5:00pm throughout the months of June and July. A more complete schedule of practices and meets will be made available to team members during the first week of practice.

SWIM LESSONS – Are available to boys and girls 18 years of age and under with lessons following pre-set guidelines established by the American Red Cross. Lessons are held Monday through Thursday. There are two sessions of lessons each summer and parents have the option to sign up their children for either session or you can sign them up to participate in both sessions. There is a limit of 10 students per class for most lessons so please be sure to register early to insure enrollment. The registration fee is $5 per student which is due at the time of registration. We are an authorized provider of the American Red Cross.

LAP SWIM – Lap swim and aquatic exercise will be held on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 5:00-6:00pm starting in June and continuing through the end of July. During this time the pool is reserved for those intending to use the pool for aquatic exercise purposes and lap swimming only. There is no fee to participate in lap swim or aquatic exercise and all adults are welcome.
