The Town of Fort Fairfield, Maine, is currently soliciting resumes for the position of Town Manager.  Fort Fairfield is a community of 3500, with a Council/Manager form of government, an annual budget of $3.0 million excluding schools, and 20 full-time employees.  The Town Council is seeking an individual with personnel management and labor relations experience, strong successful economic development experience, strong financial management and budgeting skills, and good communications skills.  The successful Manager candidate should be a creative problem solver with the ability to work as a team member, and demonstrate flexibility and openness in the performance of their job.

Candidates should possess at least 5 years of progressively responsible management experience.  The Town Council would prefer a candidate with municipal management experience and a degree in Public or Business Administration, however, individuals with equivalent experience and education are encouraged to apply.

DEPUTY TOWN CLERK

TOWN OF FORT FAIRFIELD


The Town of Fort Fairfield, Maine is accepting applications for Deputy Town Clerk.

The Deputy assists the Town Clerk in the issuance of licenses and permits, recording documents and vital statistics, and maintenance of records. The individual in this position also serves as General Assistance Administrator and Registrar of Voters.
Applicants must be high school graduates, and should have experience in general office work, working with the public, proficiency in typing/word processing and the use of computers. The successful candidate must be able to work independently as well as with others, be self-motivated, have great communication and organizational skills, and a keen attention to detail.

This is a full-time position which offers a great benefits package that includes: Health Insurance, Retirement Plan, Paid Holidays and Vacation. Salary commensurate with experience

The Parks and Recreation Department employs one full-time director and several seasonal/part-time people. Many volunteer coaches and program supervisors give their time to assist the department in providing the variety of programs available.

The Town of Fort Fairfield provides financial support from taxes to help maintain programming. Additional funding is provided from grants, registration fees, users fees and private sponsorship.

The Recreation Department maintains all municipal lawns and green spaces, municipal swimming pool, outdoor tennis/basketball courts, multipurpose ball field, Ken Reynolds Memorial Park, and the Recreation Center at the Fort Fairfield Armory.
